Jazz Piano Intro Patterns 5
Two practical jazz piano introductions in F major, explained with notation.
No.9|ii–V–iii–VI and Dominant Pedal
The opening follows Gm7–C7–Am7–D7. In the second half, the bass holds C as a dominant pedal while the upper harmonies move, building anticipation for the tune.

No.10|Stride Piano and Diminished Chords
A stride-style left hand alternates bass notes and chords. F♯dim7 and A♭dim7 connect the progression chromatically; the written right-hand line can be played as notated or improvised.
